Parkside HoA 101

HOA website

How to reach out to Real Manage by phone:
Resident Service Center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Telephone : 1-866-473-2573

When reaching out,  please be prepared to provide us with your account number and the name of your HOA or Condominium Association.

Please understand what is the responsibility of you(resident), HOA, City of Irving, DFW and State of Texas and do some research before asking questions and submitting your PoV?

For example, Issues like noise from DFW airport from the nearby flying airplanes - it's not HOA issue. Please work with DFW for that issue.

For example, public roads related issues, this is to be dealt with City of Irving.

Q. Why Spectrum only as a Internet provider?

Ans. Developer Hines, worked out only with Spectrum at the time of Parkside Development. Others like frontier or AT&T didn't showed interest to lay down the cables. Board will definitely encourage any other providers to come down to Parkside to have competitive rates and better internet in Parkside.

Q. Why Commons Park fountain is not working?

Ans. Due to excessive soil erosion the water level has decreased in the pond. Fountain vendor termed it as bad design to have the fountain at this pond and estimated that almost $200K might be expense every decade.  Fountain vendor stated that as it is big ticket item in a park owned by City of Irving, City should own this rather than HOA spend this much amount of money on this item.

Understand that Board works on very high broad level issues with very big queue. End of the day, each Board member has regular family responsibilities, jobs or business and they don't get paid for this 2-3 hours of work almost every week.  Same goes for various volunteers so please be mindful when you deal with Board members and volunteers.

PCA/PNA got from a very complex transition from Developer controlled Board to resident controlled Board. Residents who are reporting the issues, please come forward, own the issue. Trust me Board will support you as much as possible. Making Parkside a better place starts from all of us.

If you have issue with the neighbor, best recourse is to talk to the neighbor.

Same goes in terms of what HOA Board does and what HOA management company(CCMC, VCM, Real Manage) does? Board makes decision and provide directions to HOA management company. It's the HOA management company who does the execution of those directions with the help of vendors. HOA Management company is paid to do this work so please follow up with them. If HOA management company doesn't respond then CC Board members.

HOA management company and vendors are paid for their work. HOA Board of Directors are volunteer job and they pay HOA due like any resident and abide by the rules just like any other resident.

There are checks and balances in place. For e.g. Board takes advice from HOA attorney or HOA management company regarding some of the issues. Board makes sure that HOA management company and HOA attorney are not going beyond their territories to do something adverse against the residents. Board members play various roles and also have internal checks and balances to make sure that there is no favoritism in terms of vendor selection etc.

If you are concerned about anything, please show up in the HOA Board meetings - every 3rd Thursday at 6pm. Excuses like being busy is not good enough as if you care you must be present there and make time for those Board meetings. Board members might respond to critical messages on social media only if they could.

Making Parkside a better place starts with you. Asking questions is easy, answering them and taking accountability and ownership is difficult. If you feel there is an issue, please take initiative and work it out end to end. HOA Board will support you in every possible manner.

1. https://www.cityofirving.org/

2. Create account in case you don't have the account

Once logged in, hover your mouse on the top right corner “I want to..)

And then “Report a concern” Now you will get this page

Here I am reporting a Street / Alley / Sidewalk conditions

Provide as much information as possible along with the images.

Also provide your contact email and phone number

Better to ask your neighbors to file the similar complaints. The more complaints for the same issue - better impact.

Once you have reported a concern to City of Irving they will send you an email. Better to CC all the residents who are actively pursuing that issue. More people, more pressure on City to take that matter seriously.
